Programma Easy Sunday

Over I’m a retired BT Manager and Road Safety presenter (think speed awareness courses!) who lives in North West Leicestershire. Married, we share our home with our adopted black and white cat. (Yes, he very graciously adopted us). How did I get involved with radio presenting, well, read on……. After a lifelong interest in radio broadcasting, especially those based on ships and abandoned wartime forts, I started as a volunteer presenter, engineer and fundraiser with Carillon Radio (a hospital radio station) in 2007. To record programmes meant a weekly trip to the Loughborough studios, but as I was self employed at the time, it was not always convenient. Coming from an engineering background, I subsequently discovered that I could record programmes from home relatively easily. I started recording programmes from home a year or so later and have carried on ever since. I left Carillon Radio after a couple of years and ventured into the big wide world of internet radio. My main signature programme back then was “Easy Sunday”, and it continues through to today. A wide variety of music from the 1950’s to the present day, together with a number of features to keep you entertained. Hope you like it.

Programma The Retro Show

Over The 80s – It was the decade of big hair, big phones, pastel suits, Cabbage Patch Kids, Rubik’s cubes, Yuppies, Air Jordans, shoulder pads and Pac Man. More importantly it was an era of iconic moments that changed the world. The Retro Show explores the music that shaped the decade, as each week Daz takes you back to the top 10 charting singles in Australia for that particular month and year. He’ll also look back on 80s technology, lost 45s, music videos, big box office movies, and the ‘Greed is Good’ attitude that defined the decade.

Programma The 90's & 00's show

Over Lockdown brought a lot of sad times, but also brought a lot of us all closer together. Many moons ago when I was a lot younger I used to work with a chap that did mobile disco's. So as you do when you are young, I popped along and was hooked straight away. So I jumped onto the bandwagon and got involved hands on, how all the gear worked etc etc Did that for many years then got into the pub and club circuit. However after getting married the years slipped by I did not carry on with this hobby for many years. Then we had LOCKDOWN so I started doing sets online, instagram & facebook etc which rekindled my passion. I then got in touch with my old boss who runs a local community radio station. After a few beers I sweet talked him into a regular show on Friday nights for SUGA Radio. Then came along another station - KFM Radio, based in Stockport. Where I now do a regular Thursday night show from 6pm (UK) time. "That & 80's & 90's Show was born.

Over I confess, I'm addicted to new music. I can't function without my weekly dose of new music. It's nothing new, it started as a teenager back in 1979 when I did my first wedding and I got fired for playing "to new" music., I never liked playing "Green green grass of home", "Capri, c'est fini" or "Whiter shade of pale". Nothings else gets me in the mood like new music. On my Mixcloud select you get the newest tunes before you hear them anywhere else. Exclusively every week in the full length and non-hosted music only recording of my radio show "Looking for the Perfect Beat" . Mixcloud Selects subscribers get it before the radio's get it! As a BIG bonus, I'm uploading every week several of my non-hosted music only and full length recordings of the show back to 2014. These DJ sets have never been published before. That's a whole lot of music.
